Hari Garhwal
Co-Owner

Hari Garhwal co-founded Garhwal, Chan & Williams Inc. and has successfully directed the company’s growth and operations.  He specializes in working with small and large businesses, entrepreneurs, individuals in executive positions, Indian tribes, and governmental agencies to resolve client issues and obtain informal or formal rulings.

Mr. Garhwal’s services include strategic financial planning, wealth management, risk management, analysis of issues involving global leadership and global cultures, and assistance with complex negotiations, accounting, and taxation. His hallmarks are an unparalleled depth and breadth of experience, uncompromising professional and personal ethics, and an astute cultural sensitivity that allows him to serve clients’ best interests in today’s global marketplace.

Mr. Garhwal graduated from Duke University, where he earned an MBA (Global Executive), focusing on global leadership and cultures. He also holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees from the University of Rajasthan in his native Rajasthan, India, and an MBA in taxation from Golden Gate University. Mr. Garhwal is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and holds Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) credentials.

Anita Chan
Co-Owner

Anita Chan co-founded Garhwal, Chan & Williams Inc. with Mr. Garhwal.  Prior to founding the company, Ms. Chan worked together with Mr. Garhwal in a major regional CPA firm in the West Coast where she specialized in providing tax, accounting and business management services to closely-held businesses.

Ms. Chan’s services include providing financial planning and investment advice to individuals and business entities. She also provides business management and consulting, accounting, estate planning, tax planning and compliance services.  Ms. Chan received her pre-college education in Hong Kong and is fluent in Chinese.  She has served as a consultant to Asian nationals on various U.S. investment and taxation issues.

Ms. Chan graduated from the University of California at Berkeley, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. She also completed executive education programs at both Columbia University/CEIBS and the University of Michigan Business School. Ms. Chan is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and Certified Financial Planner.
